This image travelled around the world via internet the last 5 days with the title “Smiling stones used to build barricades around Taksim Sq., Istanbul.”
The power of this image is hidden between the words smiling and barricades.
In fact, the irony of this picture is so intense that made me think….what if there’s no irony here.? Maybe the protesters are trying to avoid violence by trying to make the “good” side of the cops emerge…or something like that.
I don’t know if this is true, or even possible, but it made me think.
